Randy Brannan’s internship with the Alaska Coastal Rainforest Center turned a simple classroom comment into a summer full of hands-on learning and outdoor adventure. After telling his professor he loved fieldwork, Randy was invited to join a research team collecting and analyzing stream data around Juneau. From installing sensors to sampling water and spotting changes in stream ecosystems, he gained valuable skills and a deeper appreciation for the environment.
